TT legend and adrenaline junkie Guy Martin has been confirmed as the
pilot for Triumph’s attempt at breaking the motorcycle land speed world
record in August.
Guy will be at the helm of the Triumph Rocket III
Streamliner that is powered by two 2.3 litre Triumph Rocket III engines,
producing 1,000bhp. It features a carbon Kevlar monocoque construction
and sits at 25.5ft long, 2ft wide and 3ft tall.

If you are looking for a true, hardcore adventure bike that will
cover any terrain that comes your way, the Yamaha MT-09 Tracer isn’t for
you. But if you are looking for a tourer which makes your weekend trips
and continental excursions a lot of fun, this might be worth considering.
Tracer shares the same base platform as the naked MT-09 but has been
tourified with a windscreen, higher wider and thicker seat, larger fuel
tank, hand guards, wider and higher handlebars, built in pannier mounts
and longer suspension travel.

This week’s featured road is fairly well-known among motorcyclists,
drivers and local emergency services, but even so, it still deserves a
place on this list.
The Cat and Fiddle (A537) is widely
considered to be one of the most dangerous roads in England and there
have been many accidents and road closured along the 12-mile stretch.
You shouldn’t let that put you off though, as long as you’re not stupid
and careless, you are likely to avoid an accident of your own.
