就如你所想的那样，大多数21世纪的RPG游戏都想从指环王里借鉴一点情节出来。但在这里，你将扮演Bryn的角色，一个勇敢的从小村庄出来的年轻人。他将到处旅行并学习新的技能来打败邪恶的力量和它的猛兽部队。
游戏将主要是3D场景，且战斗和过场画面都将以这个模式展现。图像非常优秀，同时细节也很妙。你可以学习到大量的刀剑和魔法技能，而它们各自都有自己的用途；打败不同的敌人也会有它不同的胜利方式；你的角色将根据装备的不同而产生外观的变化。而这些只是你游戏过程中很小的地方，它们只是让游戏常新而已。
并不是说你保持兴趣有任何的问题。游戏贯穿9个章节，而Fishlabs也非常明白怎么样让不同性别的玩家感受到剧情的推进。剧本对话将包含10000多个的单词。同时也会有过场动画来帮助剧情的推进，其次还有大量的支线任务和挑战等着玩家去发掘和攻克。作为一款RPG游戏，它仍然以经验值和提高主角的等级、技能为重心。游戏提供了许许多多可供学习的技能，灰色的符号将是你继续提高自己的所有鼓励之源。
因为游戏名为Blades & Magic，可能大家都会期待在游戏中挥舞刀剑和发动魔法。而事实上，如果你想要成为一位勇士，你的确需要好好做每次攻击的决定。多种多样的武器升级和技能都只是基础，不过最好还是一手持剑，一手持其他作为武器的东西吧。当然，没有东西会阻止你不断地尝试其他的动作。
