投稿要求里，有这么一段话大概是什么意思？？？（经常发论文的帮帮忙）
Table of Contents Graphic
A graphic must be included with each manuscript for the Table of Contents (TOC). This graphic should capture the reader’s attention and, in conjunction with the manuscript title, should give the reader a quick visual impression of the essence of the paper without providing specific results. The TOC graphic should be in the form of a structure, graph, drawing, SEM/TEM photograph, or reaction scheme. Color is acceptable and will be free of charge upon approval of the Editor. The author must submit a graphic in the actual size to be used for the TOC that will fit in an area 1.375 in. high and 3.5 in. wide (3.6 cm × 8.9 cm). Larger images will be reduced to
fit within those dimensions. Type size of labels, formulas, or numbers within the graphic must be legible. Tables or spectra are not acceptable. Provide the TOC graphic titled for “table of contents only” upon submission of the paper as the last page of the manuscript.

杂志比较喜欢占一版的图片（single column illustrations are preferred）。
图片里边的字体建议使用Helvetica or Arial，大小不要小于4.5point，线条粗细不能低于0.5point。 y意思就是怎么写你的摘要：要有图，表格数据，语言精练能表达你文章的核心。以及对图和表的具体格式要求&&我也收到过和你一样的这样东西

大过年的，文章直接被编辑据了，都没到审稿人那。在信尾编辑加了上面这些话，我想请教下具体什么意思，修改再投的话机会大么

另外，对于于力学性能的研究还涉及到一些别的工艺参数的情况，想再进行总结另投一篇文章，我需要在cover l ... 添加的内容在cover letter里简要说明一下内容重要性或者意义，至于什么总结另投一篇文章不要说了，说了自找麻烦，editor会认为你现在工作不彻底，尽量回答好编辑的问题，尽量把编辑感兴趣的问题加在现在的文章里， 实在有些问题回答不了，你可以简要说一下，然后加上这些问题重要，interesting, need further study之类的 就是。我也担心楼主是想留点内容，再发一篇。这样给编辑的印象很不少，为什么不都拿出来。。。

能否合理回答编辑的提问，以及进一步补充好数据是关键。

对于这个文章，主要是找了一个优化后的参数进行深入的分析研究
对于编辑所提及的部分内容，好多还涉及到别的参数取得的结果，我觉得并不在我这个文章的范围之内
而且我这个文章的题目是“Microstructure Characterization of Laser Penetration Brazing Joints between Aluminum and Copper” 主要讨论的是焊缝的显微结构，那个编辑非让我加力学性能的内容，我觉得和我这文章不沾边阿。是另外一方面的内容丁香客App是丁香园社区的官方应用，聚合了丁香园论坛和丁香客的精彩内容。医生可通过丁香客App浏览论坛，也可以在这个医生群集的关系网络中分享和互动，建立更广泛的学术圈子。

qingliming 哦这样啊, 这怎么压缩得了，光一abstract 就有100字，还剩下四百字。晕这怎么写，悲剧了没有什么不能写的。新英格兰上面的病例又如何，照样得按照人家得要求来。你投人家的杂志，就得按照人家的要求来，没得说。你没有机会去和杂志主编argue。你argue也没有用。正道是：按照别人的要求写，重新组织：两千多字缩到500字以内，通常不是简单的语言技巧能够到达的。什么事情该说，什么事情不该说，什么事情可说可不说，得好好考虑。

Only 1 figure or table must be uploaded to Manuscript Central as separate, individual files, not within your main manuscript document. Image files must be in either TIFF or EPS any figures uploaded as Word files will be unsubmitted.请问张老师，上面这话是编辑要我把图片和文章分开还是要我插入文章里面啊，我被他绕晕了。稿约说图文分开啊，还有张老师，他们杂志的稿约没有字数限制啊。我这是情况特殊吗？还是我这出了问题。

请按照杂志的规定来做，文章的字数最多不超过500，包括了bstract and references，而且文献索引不能超过5篇。把2000字压缩到500应当可以的，实在困难的话，我可以帮你看看。
