CELPIP-Academic is suitable for individuals seeking to become Registered Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCIC) in their applications to Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council (ICCRC) and individuals applying for admission to various
universities and colleges. It is also applicable to universities and educational institutes across Canada. It is one of the five English language proficiency options accredited by ICCRC for RCIC applicants.

The CELPIP-Academic Test assesses a higher level of English-language proficiency. It is fully delivered by computer and uses Canadian English and accents.
The listening section measures an individual's level of understanding spoken English in everyday situations, and has the same parts as the General test.

揭开“思培”的面纱 ――“思培”模拟考试纪实
&&&&&&& CELPIP（“思培”）是Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program(加拿大国家英语考试)的简称。是由英属哥伦比亚大学确立，已经被加拿大政府承认的移民加拿大的英语水平考试。加拿大政府预计在中国设立28个考点，其中6个已经开始或即将开始运行。我院也设立了“思培”考点。目前，考点的软硬件准备已经基本结束。为了配合加方对我院考点进行验收，6月12日，在新教学楼6楼进行了一次“思培模拟考试”。记者参加了这次考试。 &&& 检录 &&& 上午9点整，记者准时来到考试地点，已经有专门的工作人员在门口引导考生进入休息室。9点零8分，轮训部的周小舟老师正式给考生发放了“思培”准考证。随后，工作人员在加方代表的监督下，对考生进行了严格的检录。在采集相片和登录指纹之后，考生们的手机饰物等所有携带的东西都被分别存放在考生物品寄存处，使用物品甚至连眼镜和纽扣也经过了严格的检查。检录完毕，考生们在考场旁边的候考室里等候进场，在候考期间，轮训部的李庆祝主任向考生们宣读了考试注意事项，并且对考生们利用自己的课余时间来参加考试表示感谢。 &&& 考试 &&& 9点50分，记者和其他考生一起在工作人员的引导下依次进入设立在1601的考场。考场被分隔成一个个半开放的隔间，每个隔间的门口都贴有座位号，相应的电脑屏幕上还显示有考生的相片，考生可以很容易找到自己的座位。 &&& “思培”考试分为四个部分，分别对考生的听说读写能力进行考察。听、读、写这三个部分与四六级考试的题型基本相同，一共有45道听力题、四篇阅读和两篇写作。而“说”这一部分却是别具一格。这一部分与我们传统的口语测试很不相同，它由三种题型组成，一个是看图说话，一个是回答问题，最后是话题表达，也就是通常所说的Topic Speak。 &&& 考生的答题会被录制下来，由专门的评分老师来评分。考试中，考生的考试计算机单独计时，屏幕上有剩余时间的显示，考生可以自主把握考试的进度，但是做完一道题之后便不能修改，也不能返回上一界面。 &&& 12：10，记者做完了全部的题目，提前“交卷”出场。 &&& 李庆祝主任告诉记者，此次考试加方和学院都十分重视。加拿大卑诗大学行政总裁Marshall博士作为加方代表监督此次考试，加拿大使馆还派出参赞Martin和另一位工作人员陪同。这两天我院轮训部和教学保障中心的工作人员为了确保万无一失，工作到很晚。 &&& 记者在对Marshall博士进行采访时谈到，感觉听力和口语难于阅读和写作。他笑着解释说，其实难度基本上是持平的，但由于中国学生平时读写训练比较多，而听说训练比较少，才会产生这样的感觉。“思培”考试考察的重点就是放在“听说读写”四部分能力的综合素质上。 &&& Marshall博士强调，“思培”考试不同于“雅思”、“GRE”、“托福”等学术类（academic）的考试，它是以加拿大的历史、地理、文化等诸多因素为载体，考察学生对于加拿大英语的理解和掌握，所以考“思培”并不需要很大的单词量，只要具备加拿大十二岁孩子的词汇量就可以了。而且，“思培”考试实现了全部机考，具有很大的灵活性，任何人可以在任何时候报名并可以在任何一个考点参加考试。通过“思培”考试的人可以免签证面试。 &&& 最后，Marshall博士说，很感谢中国青年政治学院提供了良好的设施，也很感谢轮训部以及网络中心、教保中心的工作人员，他们认真负责而且富有激情，和他们在一起工作非常快乐。他对于考点的前期工作非常满意，中国的学生也给他留下了很深刻的印象，欢迎中国学生到加拿大去留学和生活。对于模拟考试中发现的问题，Marshall博士表示，他们一定会努力工作，完善考点的设施，使中青考点尽快投入运行。&&&&& &&& 李庆祝主任介绍说，报考“思培”有三个步骤： &&& 1、 填写一份CELPIP申请表。 &&& 2、 递交身份证或护照原件及复印件一份 &&& 3、 到报名点交纳220加元或者等额人民币，如果采取汇款方式，则应该在考试前三周汇至指定地点。
