在菜单栏选择【GameObject】&【Create Other】&【Terrain】创建一个基本的Terrain。然后在Inspector窗口选择Terrain设置选项,如图1-35所示。默认的Terrain非常大,这里将Terrain Width和Terrain Length设为500,缩小Terrain尺寸。将Heightmap Resolution设为257,降低其精度。
在Inspector窗口选择Raise工具,设置Brush Size改变笔刷大小,Opacity改变笔刷力度,然后在Terrain上绘制拉起表面,若同时按Shift键则会将表面压下。使用Paint Height工具可以直接绘制指定高度。使用Smooth Height工具可以光滑Terrain表面,如图1-36所示。
选择Paint Texture工具,选择【Edit Textures】&【Add Texture】打开编辑窗口,为Terrain添加贴图,注意在Tile Size中设置贴图的尺寸。这个操作可以反复执行多次添加多张贴图。最后在Textures中选择需要的贴图,将贴图画到Terrain上面,如图1-37所示。
选择Place Trees工具,选择【Edit Trees】&【Add Tree】添加树模型,这个操作可以执行多次加入多个模型。在Trees中选择需要的模型,将其绘制到Terrain上面,如图1-38所示。
选择Paint Details工具,选择【Edit Details】&【Add Grass Texture】添加草贴图(贴图一定要有Alpha),选择【Add Detail Mesh】添加细节模型(如石头等),这个操作可以反复执行多次。最后在Details中选择需要的草贴图或细节模型,将其绘制到Terrain上面,如图1-39所示。
Terrain同普通的模型一样,可以使用Lightmapping模拟光影效果,添加了Lightmap的Terrain将会看上去更加生动,最终效果如图1-40所示。
本节的示例工程文件保存在资源文件目录chapter01_Terrain中。
